How Does a Delay Set Admixture Work?

Standard Delay Set temporarily stops the chemical reaction between the water and cement molecules that causes the concrete to set. This helps combat the effects of excessively warm temperatures by keeping the concrete plastic for longer. So you can place and finish the load with a lower risk of cracking, crazing, or crusting.
