As a slump enhancing admixture, Fritz-Pak’s Supercizer 2 is similar to Supercizer 1 in its composition but contains an added delay set admixture. This makes Supercizer 2 the ideal superplasticizer for hot weather concreting. This powerful admixture contains no calcium chloride, nitrates, or other corrosive materials. So, you can be sure it won’t damage your steel reinforcements.

Using a Slump Enhancing Admixture for ICF Construction

In addition to being a great admixture for your summer projects, Supercizer 2 can also be used to improve the strength and durability of ICF construction projects. Typically, concrete for ICF buildings gets pumped into the forms in layers or lifts. To avoid cold joints, the pumper needs to move quickly. Adding a delay set slump enhancing admixture, such as Supercizer 2, lowers the risk of the concrete setting between lifts. This reduces the risk of cold joints while also lowering the risk of voids in the forms.

Additional Benefits of Supercizer 2

Fritz-Pak’s slump-enhancing admixture, Supercizer 2 is a high-performance admixture providing an increase in a concrete slump by up to 7 inches. When used with the normal amount of water, it improves the flow of the mix and lowers the risk of segregation. Supercizer 2 also lowers water requirements by 20% when used as a high-range water reducer.

How long will the slump gain last?
Slump gain will remain in effect for 60 to 90 minutes.
Will it change the set time?
Supercizer 2 is a slight retarder. In temperatures between 50° and 70° F you may see up to an hour of set retardation.
Will it affect the air content?
t may increase air content up to 2%. If air content is critical in your application eliminate the addition of air entrainment admixture at the plant and correct the air content at the jobsite using Super Air Plus if needed.
Will it change my concrete strength?
If water is reduced during the batching, you should expect an increase in strength. If water content is not changed, you will not see any changes in concrete strength.
Do you recommend Supercizer 2 for use in the winter?
No. Supercizer 3 or Supercizer 5 should be used in the winter.
Can the concrete be redosed if slump starts to change?
Yes. You may redose to maintain your slump.
Is Supercizer 2 compatible with other superplasticizers?
Supercizer 2 is compatible with most other superplasticizers. However, due to the constant change in formulations by other manufacturers, we strongly recommend testing for compatibility with other superplasticizers. For specific applications, contact Fritz-Pak Corporation.

Supercizer 2 is compatible with all air-entraining admixtures, calcium chloride and other admixtures. When used with other admixtures, each one must be dispensed separately into the mix.
