As a concrete superplasticizer, Fritz-Pak’s Supercizer 1 offers a variety of benefits. Not only does this product act as a slump enhancer and high-range water reducer, but it also contains no chloride, nitrates, or other corrosive materials. Supercizer 1 comes packaged in our signature water-soluble bag for easy addition to your concrete mix at the job site.

Concrete Superplasticizer: A Slump Enhancer

When added to a traditional concrete mix containing the normal amount of water, Supercizer 1 increases the slump by up to 6 inches or 15 centimeters. This makes it the perfect product to keep in your truck for those jobs that require only minor corrections in slump. Supercizer 1 is a concrete superplasticizer that does not affect the overall set time of the concrete mix.

Concrete Superplasticizer: A Water Reducer

If you’re looking for a product to lower the water requirements of your concrete mix, Fritz-Pak’s Supercizer 1 is the admixture you want. This concrete superplasticizer offers up to a 20% water reduction in the mix design. When using less water in the mix, Supercizer 1 produces the same flowing concrete and increases the strength of the concrete. This makes it a great choice for precast concrete plants.

Additional Benefits of Supercizer 1

When used as a high-range water reducer, Supercizer increases the durability of the concrete by reducing permeability and segregation in the mix. This also makes the mix easier to pump. Supercizer 1 is a concrete superplasticizer that is compatible with most other common admixtures and has shown to only marginally increase the air content of traditional concrete mixes.

How long will the slump change last?
30 to 45 minutes. The concrete will gradually return to the original slump. Time will be shorter in warm weather.
Will it change the set time?
Supercizer 1 is a slight retarder. In temperatures between 50° and 70°F you may see up to an hour of set retardation.
Will it affect the air content?
It may increase air content up to 2%. If air content is critical in your application eliminate the addition of air entrainment admixture at the plant and correct the air content at the jobsite using Super Air Plus if needed.
Will it change my concrete strength?
If water is reduced during the batching, you should expect an increase in strength. If water content is not changed, you will not see any changes in concrete strength.
Do you recommend Supercizer 1 for use in the winter?
No. Supercizer 3 or Supercizer 5 should be used in the winter.
Can the concrete be redosed if slump starts to change?
Yes. You may redose to maintain your slump.
Is Supercizer 1 compatible with other superplasticizers?
Supercizer 1 is compatible with most other superplasticizers. However, due to the constant change in formulations by other manufacturers, we strongly recommend testing for compatibility with other superplasticizers. For specific applications, contact Fritz-Pak Corporation.

  • Slump control at the job site without adding water
  • Higher early and ultimate strengths
  • Improves concrete workability with no loss in strength
  • Addition of Supercizer 1 will not affect the water-cement ratio
  • Higher strengths may be achieved more economically
  • Improves cohesiveness and reduces concrete segregation
  • Produces concrete with lower permeability
  • Concrete achieves higher durability
  • Allows concrete placement in difficult access or heavily reinforced areas
  • No need for admixture dispensers because Supercizer 1 is packaged in a patented water soluble Fritz-Pak inner bag for convenient use at the plant or job site

Supercizer 1 is compatible with all air-entraining admixtures, calcium chloride and other admixtures. When used with other admixtures, each one must be dispensed separately into the mix.
